Dealing with my metabolism finally failing me

It couldn't last forever...

I've spent almost my entire life enjoying the benefits of a ridiculously high metabolism—eating and drinking whatever the hell I pleased whilst enjoying a pleasantly sedentary lifestyle and not an ounce of weight gain to show for any of it. However, it would seem that my age is finally starting to catch up with me.

Like I'm sure many others had, since the start of the whole COVID thing, I ended up putting on quite a bit of weight. While adding a few extra pounds to my previously borderline (if not actually) underweight frame wouldn't have been a terrible thing, 50 or so extra pounds and a burgeoning dad-bod was not a particularly welcome development.

I Have A Blog Again

A "Hello, World!" of sorts

It's been quite a while since I've had a blog, the last in which I posted with any regularity being a poorly executed Deadspin knockoff centering solely around the Cleveland Browns about 15 years ago (I totally called the whole Jamarcus Russell thing, by the way). That being the case, I figured that with my long-overdue departure from Facebook and Twitter, it would probably be nice to have somewhere to write about what's going on in my life, what I'm doing, et cetera, and to give friends and family somewhere to check in once in a while and see if I'm still breathing (Hi, Dad—the answer is yes).
